Mmmuuuhhahahaha

Yyyyyessssss... unleash the Raptor... hhhuuuhhhahahaa (hold pinkie to mouth in doctor evil style)

yes, the Raptor after many years of sitting in the corner gather dust, is finally made its way on to the work bench.

but in my true build style, it's out with the stock build and in with the kit bashing with a hammer....

first the tube will get a glass coat
MMT will be upgraded to 75mm
and a special side mounted AV/Bay added for DD
fitted for 54mm/75mm Hybrids (J/K/L's)
and a Aeropack boat tail retainer

You know you're building slow, when the forums warns you that the post is more than 120 days old, and am I sure I want to post.. blundecided

Anyway...

BTW I wussed out, and left it with the 54mm MMT.. Never going to be able to squash a 75mm Hybrid in it anyway..

Got the tubes Glassed, with 2 layers of 120gsm

Got the Fins Beveled, and tacking them on..

Getting the little forward fins tacked on

Fins all tacked on, and I've got half the internal fillets done today.

Hey EMiR, how did you do the internal fillets?...did you remove the fincan assembly or another way?...Just curious as i'm considering options for my LOC Phoenix at the moment.

I did my interals by running thickened epoxy down inside, and let it run down to the forward CR.
before laying it flat and letting it cure.

ok so this is the longest build I have ever done,

Up to the real fun bit of sanding, sanding and sanding some more....     ha.. tho's tennis players don't know what tennis elbow is... trying Sanding elbow

Yer having 9 fins, looks great he says... great idea he says....

up to the 400grit stuff, not much more heavy sanding left.. before I start the colour coats...
