would PARC members want to put in for casings mainly the bigger ones ie 54mm/1706 and above and some below

because there is no piont all of us having the above case if you only use it once or twice in a year the people who would fly these size motors could share the cost

what do you guys think

i think that it could work if you have 2 of each casing so if you kill a casing on the first launch of the day then there is a backup casing for other people to use that day or the next launch..... i think that buying 29 mm casings would be good for people that want to try reloads  but then there is the other problem of them beeing replaced if there damaged or broken

My argument is its stupid that 5 of us get casings to suit jkl motors when in reality we would combined fly maybe 10 motors max a year so why have 5 casings for so little flights may as well spread the cost and buy a few diff sizes between us and they become "club casings" you bust it you pay for it. The high powered members in the club all have a good relationship with each other so trust is there to do the righty by fellow members if you stuff a casing.

29mm and 38mm casings are used alot by many members so having your own is better than waiting for your turn especially is you stuff a casing then that would be the end of flying if it was a commonly used casing.

That's a good point.
I thought club casings would be a great idea. As has been said, you break it (or lose it) you pay for it. It would be annoying, however, if 3 people want to use a casing and it is unusable after the first flight - 2 people then miss out.
Now if the club had 2 casings .....

As a matter of interest the AARC once had 2 sets of casings however this was found not to be needed! So one set was sold off! Even the current casings the club owns there are a couple that appears to have never been used! Something to think about!

Has anyone ever heard of the paperwork reduction act?

Here are some of the AARCs casings. Note the new one 24mm x 60 as seen in this photo. They take the F35W reload kit.

Has anyone decided on a policy for club casings for their section?
