They do have an excellent range of motors available! Stanbridges should be commended for having available this level of supply to Australian rocketry consumers! There should now be no excuses for people to make their own motors. This shows the responability this store is showing to general public safety!

Not many HPR motors left and PARC will be up to 13 HPR members in the next coming weeks it may be worth seeing if there can be

a)  orders placed every 6 months

b)  doubling the amount ordered of the most popular HPR motors to keep as stock

I am positive the retailers can see a pattern with who is buying not just from WA but SA is buying just as many motors and keeping in mind that SA has permission to fly all year round at one of its launch sites so come next March I would think Stanbridges wouldve sold out on even the smaller motors as well.

Just a reminder that the permit in SA allows ARA and AARC members to purchase motors from the following retailers Stanbridges, Bergs Hobbies and Spalding Welcome Mart and records are kept by the State ARA Rep.

I've never been in one of these motor orders before. Are they simply requesting motors for SB to stock, or do I have to pay for all of the motors I order up front?

Because I can only legally suggest motors >G, which someone else buys, which they then allow me to use with supervision when I pay them for it.
So I can't really add to a motor order if it is a case of the motors being bought up front (especially since I can't afford a years worth of motors in one go).

you place your order when the shipment comes in you pay it off as you use them or all at once your choice you dont have to put your money up front unless you have not paid for your order in the past

Cool. Are they brought into SB under a specific persons name, or can other people buy them? Like if something happens and I can't use my motors, do they simply get bought by other people who want them?

They would arrive with your name on them and it is expected that you buy them but as you say something unexpected came up like loss of job or whatever Peter would understand and you would find many PARC members would buy them anyway this has happened in the past.

George you can order H and I motors you can fly H and I motors you just cant buy H and I motors directly but your Dad could pay for them and they stay at Stanbridges and Kev or myself can bring them to a launch for you all too easy.

Yeah i would agree having a 6 monthly order, i guess i've probably taken ~15 motors so far of the MPR variety and that will only get bigger, would be nice to have a refresher mid-year - having that problem already with the H97's but managed to get two from SB's via Dawn trading luckily...would like more though.

last year 5 of us bought out all of Bergs HPR motors so we had some I motors for Dowerin, this year SB's  ordered alot more extra and they have almost sold out again. But you cant complain it was only a few years ago that there were no HPR motors in Australia it was a country wide effort to place a $5000 order to get Dawn Tradings attention. We just have to get their attention again to order even more extra this time and to keep in mind the SA boys havent flown for a long while they are making up for lost time and going troppo flying rockets.

Can anyone confirm if SB's still have any LMS motors going cheap?
